Thursday 30th July Newsletter

Good afternoon everyone we hope your enjoying the glorious weather.

With pre-season in full flow its great to see so many of the players enjoying being back and being allowed to play these in-house friendlies. Its also lovely to see so many families watching and supporting the players down at Coney Hall FC.

• PARENTS RESPECT GUIDELINES

When your child signs for Coney Hall FC you both sign to abide by the FAs respect code of conduct. Unfortunately, during the in-house friendlies, it has been brought to the attention of the committee that we have some “over enthusiastic” parents. Please be aware encouraging both teams are supported but screaming instructions at your own child who has been coached and is still being coached by one of our managers is not acceptable. Anyone who does not follow the respect for parents’ code of conduct could be asked to leave the grounds. You may think that you are helping by telling them where to stand or “shoot” “pass” “get stuck in” but it really doesn’t.
The only person your child should be hearing is their manager or coach.

• FA CUP FINAL - SATURDAY 1st AUGUST

This weekend’s Fa cup final between Arsenal and Chelsea will be shown live in the clubhouse. The club will open at 5pm for the final.

• GROUNDS CLOSING

The ground will close from Saturday 8th August until Saturday 5th September. This is so works on the pitches and grounds can start on Saturday 8th August. Your managers will be asking for your help over that
weekend. Please if you can spare any time, we would be very grateful. The bar and clubhouse will remain open during this time.

• WELCOME BACK IN HOUSE TOURNAMENT & FAMILY DAY

On Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th September, we will be holding our in house tournament. ALL Teams will be playing and will be split into age groups. Under 7&8 under 9&10 under 11&12 will all play against each other on Saturday 5th in a round robin tournament with the top 4 teams from each group progressing to finals. On Sunday 6th Under 13 & under 14 will also play in their own mini tournament.
This will be a family day with outside music, food stall, outside bar and more. More information will be sent out closer to the day.

• CLUBHOUSE AND GROUND RULES

A reminder of the following.
There is to be NO SMOKING on the club grounds
There is to be NO DOGS on the club grounds
There is to be NO ALCOHOL brought onto the club grounds.
You will be asked to leave the grounds if you fall foul of the above rules
ALL ALCOHOLIC DRINKS THAT YOU WISH TO TAKE OUTSIDE OF THE CLUBHOUSE MUST BE IN A PLASTIC GLASS.

• COMPLAINTS FROM OUR NEIGHBOURS

Please note that that over the past month we have received multiple complaints from the residents whose gardens back on to the club. At the far end of club behind the big conifer trees are their back gardens and we have had young & older children both boys and girls finding their way into these gardens. Please at all times make sure you know where your children are. Also, behind those conifers is the alley way that leads to west Wickham train station where the fence has been vandalised this is also a safeguarding issue, we have now repaired the fence but again it is an open space with an alley way used by many people.

• SUPER 6 – DREAM TEAM -FANTASY PREMIER

Congratulations to the following
Peter Ware – Winner Fantasy Premier league
Chris Tucker- Winner Super 6
The dream team still has a few more weeks to go.

Hope you all enjoy the break we look forward to seeing you on Saturday 5th September!!
